Reviewing the Beatles "Love" CD
59Preserving the Classics
I am a music lover from way back and will do anything I can to preserve the legacy of the classics. There are so many genres that I enjoy such as Classic rock music, country music, jazz music, easy listening music, rhythm and blues music and even some classical music.
And The Band Played On
After listening to the Beatles "Love" album, I was blown away. I truly believe that John Lennon would be proud of it if he were here.
In the 26 tracks they used, they integrated such a good grouping of Beatles music from the beginning to when they were no longer together that you feel like you are on a magical mystery trip through Beatleland. It is fun listening to the individual tracks to see how many songs you recognize within a song. For example, you will hear the guitar part of one song together with the vocals from another and so on.
George and Giles Martin should be commended. They did a fantastic job of producing this album. It was truly a labor of love. The mixture of the Beatles and the Cirque de Soliel was a perfect match.
I highly recommend this album not only to the avid Beatles fan but any lover of good music. If you haven't had a chance to listen to this album yet, I would strongly suggest taking the time to find it and listen to it. If you already have this album, the next time you're together with a group of friends, play it and see who can recognize the most songs.
On a scale of 1-10, the album gets a 10 from me on the basis of creativity alone. It couldn't have been done without the talent of the Beatles and their fantastic array of music.
ROCK ON!!!!

While the very idea of Love was mocked by reviewers it works brilliantly as a piece of mix up madness. It is only in a few parts where the mix and flow does not work as well as it does generally. A great piece of fun and the digital remastering in places is breathtaking.
